Artist Li Wei’s work is a mixture of performance art and photography that creates illusions of an unusual interesting reality. His favorite works are the ‘Mirror’ and the ‘Falls’ series; the ‘Falls’ series shows the artist with his head and the upper body embedded into the ground. According to the artist these images are not computer montages, these works are created with the help of props such as mirror, metal wires, scaffolding and acrobatics. Using a large mirror with a hole in the center large enough to accommodate his head and neck, he places his head through the hole and “projects” his image onto various historical and urban places.

Wow! Artists will always amaze me as they create fresh, new content on an ongoing basis. It’s delightful (as a viewer) to see new photos such as this, as they give me hope and enjoyment–which fosters a sense of wanting more. This is a great example of the incredible imagination, and a true testament of how fun art can be! Keep up the great work Li Wei!
