Jessica Cox The First Pilot With No Arms

Oct 04, 2009 134 Comments by admin1

Jessica Cox suffered a rare birth defect and was born without any arms. None of the prenatal tests her mother took showed there was anything wrong with her. And yet she was born with this rare congenital disease, but also with a great spirit.

The psychology graduate can write, type, drive a car, brush her hair and talk on her phone simply using her feet. Ms Cox, from Tuscon, Arizona, USA, is also a former dancer and double black belt in Tai Kwon-Do. She has a no-restrictions driving license, she flies planes and she can type 25 words a minute.

  22. craig says:

That is amazing, my brother was born without a left arm and he gets along fine if not better than most. People don’t realize that if you have lived your whole life that way you simply learn to do things differently, they need to realize there is no inferior or superior there is only different. Are we inferior to the person with three arms ?

  23. craig says:

    P.S. Also shes pretty hot

  24. Luna says:

    SHE USES MARY KAY!!

I bet she would be an awesome soccer player…also why are there people asking if she can really drive? Of course she can, she can actually fly a plane so why would an automatic car be such a challenge?

The really weird bit for me is the picture of the young Jessica who looks like she has been entered in the Texan Little Miss Whore Pageant. I mean the make-up job and clothes are just disgusting, what on earth were her parents thinking that day?

  40. Peter says:

I am so very impressed. You have given me hope and made me smile. You are wonderful, beautiful and incredible. Go for it!

  41. Amber says:

WOW! That is really impressive. Hats off to her family for enabling her to become such an inspiration, and of course to her for just living her life and not letting her lack of arms get in the way of her life.

I wonder, does she eat out at restaurants much?

  44. james says:

awesome she can type faster then me and she can fly? i can barely ride a bike as it is well i can see when I’m bested kudos to your success and maybe i will start to take some classes on typing

  45. cathal says:

Inspirational, and cute!!!! She gives hope to people with slight or severe disabilities. I suffer from a slight disability and am currently learning to drive. I’ve had a couple of tricky lessons lately, and seeing what this little lady has achieved in her life so far has given me the inspiration to try harder learning to drive.

  46. Home Protection Man says:

Wow! This truly is an amazing story. She could also easily have a career as a motivational speaker.. but she probably has more goals that she’d first like to accomplish. Just goes to show you what is possible… and lets not forget the family that supported and loved her along the way–an important element!
