Unfortunately, it’s even worse than this.
Its really describing. To imagine how it is that we are proceved though someone else’s eyes. Sad really, seeing that the US helps other countries and nations in relief efforts. Sometimes its not even the government that does, its the people, because they do care about the best of mankind (for the most part at least, form an optimist point of view).

The first one, where the soldiers are turning dogs loose on civilians, is particularly ironic, considing the use of dogs in Korean cuisine.

The Japanese spread similar lies to their citizens during WW2. There are stories about how American soldiers attempted to save Japanese citizens, but the citizens, having heard the propaganda from their government how American soldiers raped and tortured, decided instead to throw their children, spouses, and themselves off of cliffs rather than be caught by the “evil” Americans.
Those of you claiming that all American soldiers to similar things in war times, shame on you. It takes a sick mind and a sick person to even imagine doing some of these decrepit acts. I’m not naive enough to think that it doesn’t happen, but it is largely the exception and not the rule as you would claim.
They look extremely similar to the covers of mid-twentieth century Western depictions of Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese soldiers portrayed in children’s war comics.
The comments here are much worse than the paintings. North Koreans have the excuse that they live in a brutal dictatorship with no access to real information.
For a citizen of a western democracy to make the comments I’ve read here is a sign that his or her brain doesn’t function. Have it chopped out and replaced with a pile of mac and cheese, so at least you’ll have a ready supply of carbs in case you get hungry.
Maybe if we really would treat people like this they would leave us alone.

Again, the biggest problem for the people locked up at Guantanamo is that they’re getting too fat from overeating. Hardly the stuff of torture.

Uh, yes, yes, they are. We are not hacking axes into people’s heads and burying them alive in Guantanamo Bay, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.
American atrocities in Guantanamo Bay amount to waterboarding 3 people in order to prevent them from killing hundreds if not thousands of others and being once alleged to have flushed a Koran down the toilet.
Meanwhile a few million people in Korea are reduced to eating grass and people get shot for their politics on a regular basis. There is trying to make an interesting point and then there’s being too cute by half. America is not North Korea and trying to insist on an equivalence between the two only helps you to one day actually wind up with North Korea. Don’t be stupid.

Although if the American soldiers really did just totally randomly nail shit to people’s heads instead of even attempting to, you know, actually engage the enemy soldiers in combat or something, that does go a long way toward explaning how that war came out I guess.

First of all, like many other anti-american countries, we do not capture journalists, soldiers, or tourists (including children) and torture / punish /kill them just for being there. An american-jewish business man had his head sawed off on camera filmed by al-qaeda. this is just one minor reason why we and many other allied countries are fighting for liberty and freedom; not only for ourselves and our allies, but for the rest of the world. While we do this, we are taking the hit economically for others. what other country who is not allied would do that for the world.
If we ever did invade N. Korea, showing kindness and exorbitant generosity would be so contrary to what they are being led to believe, it would utterly destroy public support for the current government.
Hell, we could probably take over the country by tactically inserting platoons of unarmed humanitarians with American flags on their uniforms.
Now, if only we could do those things to progressives, the would would be a better place.

There will always be a slant to war time art like this. Go back to how we represented Russians as recently as the 60′s, or how we’re representing Arabs now. Our comedians and much of our media make them out to be vicious killers who are all religious zealots and who’s language is comprised entirely of the “la” sound spoken at high speed. When ever you are in a war or political situation with another country there tends to be assumptions and stereotypes made.
Now I’m not saying that American’s went in an acted like saints, I’m just saying let’s not condemn the whole of the US Armed Forces because their enemies said they’re evil people. That’s like asking my ex-girlfriends if I’m a nice guy, we’ve duked it out they’re going to have a bad opinion of me.

Those of you that think these pictures are accurate seriously need to wake the fuck up. North Korea is one of the most heavily brainwashed countries on the planet. Kim Jong Il also claims to have invented the hamburger, to feed his country. Then he spends tons of money on booze and Benzes, while his countrymen starve to death. The North Korean government has an entire department devoted to creating propaganda like this. America is not innocent of all war crimes, and yes we’ve done some bad things, but don’t be so damn gullible, these pictures are just part of the massive brainwashing that goes on in North Korea.
